Q's Bar and Lounge at the prestigious Palazzo Versace Hotel-Dubai Honors Quincy Jones: A Legacy of Music, Love, and Inspiration

Dubai, [November 4, 2024] – It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of Quincy Jones, a musical visionary whose unparalleled impact shaped music and culture worldwide. Quincy’s legacy of creativity, warmth, and dedication to the arts has left an indelible mark on our hearts. At Q’s Bar and Lounge, his namesake venue, Quincy's 1st and only live music venue, we have been privileged to bring his vision of authentic, world-class music to Dubai, sharing the timeless artistry he championed.

"Quincy’s influence will forever resonate, not only through his music but in the spaces he created for artists to thrive," says Dante Kennedy, Entertainment and Music Director / Drummer for Q’s originally from Philadelphia, PA. In his honor, we are committed to expanding the entertainment initiatives of Q’s Bar and Lounge, globally, creating new venues with the same type of passion for music, innovation, and connection that Quincy had that will continue to inspire future generations.

Dante Kennedy has uplifted the name of Quincy Jones as he serves as the Entertainment and Music Director since 2021, after starting off as the drummer for a Q’s residency in 2018. "In every city that expands beyond this location in the future, we will continue to uphold his vision of a “living room with soul” by showcasing handpicked musicians who embody the quality and originality Quincy cherished."

Our warmest thoughts are with Quincy’s family, friends, and all who have been touched by his life and work. His light will continue to guide us at Q’s Bar and Lounge, in Dubai and beyond, as we bring his dream to new audiences around the world.
