NEW YORK, N.Y. — Ambassador Dr. Hugues Sanon, founder and convener of the Global Peace Summit, brought an international group of diplomats, humanitarians, business leaders, faith representatives, policy voices, and peace advocates to Manhattan for the Global Peace Summit 2026 and Distinguished Global Leadership Awards Ceremony.

The gathering took place at MNN Manhattan during the United Nations General Assembly’s High-level Week. The invitation-only program was organized around peace, unity, human dignity, leadership, governance, sustainable development, and international cooperation. Featured speaker Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe of Germany was among the principal names publicly associated with the summit.

Also participating in the broader UNGA Week conversation was H.E. Sangeeta Dua Kataria, Ambassador-at-Large for the Kingdom of Kush. Her presence connected the Kingdom of Kush’s international outreach with a gathering designed to bring diplomacy, civic leadership, culture, business, and humanitarian work into direct conversation.

As Ambassador-at-Large, H.E. Kataria represents the Kingdom of Kush in global advocacy and strategic partnership-building. Her engagement at the summit reflected the initiative’s emphasis on peaceful diplomacy, cross-cultural relationships, international visibility, and the long-term work of connecting its vision with people and institutions around the world.

The summit’s format was especially relevant to that work. Its organizers positioned the event as a place for ambassadors, government representatives, international organizations, investors, business executives, philanthropists, faith leaders, human-rights advocates, academics, humanitarian organizations, civil-society representatives, and invited guests to build meaningful relationships.
