Getting to know a little more of Monica

Q & A

Bollywood/India

Q: In 3 words, how would you describe Bollywood to people that have not yet encountered it?

A: Modern Cultural Art

Q: What cities would you recommend people visiting in India?’

A: Jaipur, Amritsar, and Mumbai

On fashion

Q: Who are some of your favorite designers (national or international)?

A: Indian: Rimple and Harpreet; I feel they really bring to life the old Punjabi textiles with a semi-modern twist

Pakistan: Hussain Rehar; No one can beat his style of embroidery and color play, even his most minimal pieces are decadent

American: Carolina Herrera; She knows elegance

Q: What are your favorite accessories?

A: A smile and positive attitude

Food

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: My mommy’s cooking

Q: Do you like to cook and if so, what is your favorite meal to make?

A: I LOVE to cook! These days my go to is spicy bruschetta, greek salad, and pesto chicken (with homemade pesto sauce). I take my time and cook slowly while sipping on a nice chardonnay!

Film

Q: What for you is the best movie of all time(s)

A: I would have to say ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ because it was a treat to see both leads play characters so new to them. As an actress, I love watching how another actress takes on and performs something new. This was the first non Disney film for Anne Hathaway, and this was the first time I had seen Meryl Streep play a divaish antagonist. I loved it!

Q: Who are your favorite Actors (can be national or international)

A: Meryl Streep is hands down the best actress of our generation. Her complete control over every character she has played astonishes me!
