A Tre' Mag/222.9 Historical/Herstorical Image

At a glance, this image appears to be another photo in the roll to sort through...on the way to the main shot. In my eyes, it is highly symbolic. One sister is watching the other one's back as she starts a fire. Images as these are important to share, because they show unity in action between powerful black women. They document journeys of creative journeys, and what happens when like energies align. Images as these display the power of feminine unity. One, a one woman radio station, the other, a one woman magazine. It is also symbolic because one sister is watching one's back, a polar opposite of what mainstream media pushes with constant catfighting. The green she wears is for grounding, the red I wear is for passion. We are both submerged in the blue...oceans of The Mother energy. This images Steph Coleman's nudge to inspire me to start my creative fire...just by being herself. Happy 15th, Steph!

Ase in Love,
